In The Galen Hooks Method intensives, one of the phrases I’ve been using that has been really resonating is to “CAPTAIN YOUR SHIP”.

Your “ship” is your body and your ideas.

Your body wants to be led. Your ideas want to be seen.

So often, students in dance classes are passengers. Maybe you can relate: you’re being indecisive in class because that’s better than making a “wrong“ decision.
